Service Mode is a security feature available to customers with an active Secure Tracker subscription. When enabled, it temporarily suspends automatic theft notifications that would normally be triggered by the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) when it detects a theft event.

This feature is specifically designed for situations when your vehicle is being serviced, preventing false theft alerts during legitimate service activities.

Lock50 Key Programming

SW30, SW36 & SW40 for EVA2 Models

These functions help when the LOCK50 app cannot activate Service Mode. Use as alternative methods to add keys on EVA2 vehicles.

30

SW30 - Add Key via OBD

Use when RFA is locked on EVA2 vehicles. Client activates Service Mode on their phone via JLR InControl App for 30 minutes to add keys in locked RFA. If RFA is unlocked, keys can be added directly without 2 keys or Service Mode.

  • Client activates via InControl App
  • 30 minutes Service Mode
  • Add keys to locked RFA
  • For EVA2 models
  • For A, B, C, and C+ users
  • Requires HW03-D cable (included with LOCK50)
  • If RFA unlocked - direct add (no 2 keys needed)
36

SW36 - Key Duplicator

Use when Service Mode is not available. Copies Type 2 Keys (NCF29A1) using HW03-C adapter as alternative to Service Mode.

  • For C and C+ users
  • Copies Type 2 Keys (NCF29A1)
  • Alternative to Service Mode
  • Uses HW03-C adapter (included with LOCK50)
40

SW40 - EVA2 Unlock

Unlocks RFA on EVA2 vehicles. Requires 2 keys via OBD, OR connect to CAN wires in door, OR use RFA solder-free adapter to unlock without any keys (car must not be in alarm active state).

  • For C+ only
  • Option 1: 2 keys via OBD
  • Option 2: CAN wires in door
  • Option 3: RFA solder-free adapter (no keys needed)
  • Car must not be in alarm active state
  • Uses HW03-B or HW03-C (included with LOCK50)
  • Type 2 Keys (NCF29A1)

When INCONTROL App Cannot Activate Service Mode

If You Have 2 Working Keys

Use SW30 to add the 3rd key directly via OBD using fixed ID approach.

  • • Connect HW03-D cable
  • • Use SW30 to add key 3 via OBD
  • • Works on Non-UWB vehicles

If No Working Keys (UWB Models)

Make 2 copies using HW13/HW14 keys, then use those to add 3rd key:

  • • Use SW36 to copy 2 keys to HW13/HW14
  • • Use those 2 keys as working keys
  • • Add 3rd key via OBD (SW30)
  • • HW13/HW14 keys can be reused

OEM Keys That Can Be Added via OBD

Keys can be added via OBD in two scenarios: (1) When RFA is unlocked - all models can add keys via OBD. (2) When RFA is locked on EVA2 models with PIVI Pro - can add keys via OBD only if Service Mode has been activated OR when using C or C+ packages to copy keys from any PEPS UWB enabled RFA without needing TCU Service Mode.

Non-UWB Keys (Button Press Required)

HW15 - Land Rover 433MHz
HW16 - Land Rover 315MHz
HW19 - Jaguar 433MHz
HW20 - Jaguar 315MHz

UWB Keys (Keyless Entry)

HW21 - SVO 433MHz UWB
HW22 - SVO 315MHz UWB
HW23 - Jaguar 433MHz UWB
HW24 - Jaguar 315MHz UWB
HW25 - Land Rover 433MHz UWB
HW26 - Land Rover 315MHz UWB
Note: UWB keys can also work as Non-UWB keys on vehicles without UWB support
