Important Detection Step

How to Detect a Locked BCM

After swapping the RFA and updating Lock50 software, go to PEPS Options and run the "Replace RFA" command

The vehicle will complete the Replace RFA process successfully without any errors - you can proceed with standard programming.

BCM Is Locked

Error messages: "2 Keys Required or Authentication Failed" or "Less than 2 Keys found"

Use the SW28 option in Special Functions to synchronise the new RFA module - avoids swapping to a new BCM.

Locked BCM Detected?

If you receive the locked BCM error, don't worry! Use the SW28 function in Special Functions to synchronise your new RFA module with the locked BCM vehicle - no need to swap to a new BCM.
