Different Lock50 models offer different access methods for locked RFA key copying
HW04, HW04-A, HW04-B
HW04: Requires pre-purchased token for each key copy
HW04-A: Requires pre-purchased token for each key copy
HW04-B: Requires pre-purchased token for each key copy
How Tokens Work: Purchase tokens in advance, use one token per key copy.
HW04-C, HW04-C+
HW04-C: Unlimited key copying included - no tokens needed
HW04-C+: Unlimited key copying included - no tokens needed
Best for high-volume locksmiths and dealers
Best Value: Program as many keys as you need without per-key costs. Ideal for busy shops doing 10+ keys per month
Connect Lock50 via OBD-II port
Extract key data from locked RFA
Write data to blank key shell
Confirm key works properly
No Module Swap Required — The most efficient route for adding a key without changing any parts
Instead of trying to "write" to the car's memory (which is locked), the HW03C adapter connects directly to the RFA (KVM) wiring. It reads the existing key data and copies it onto a Lock50 Change ID key.
Result: The car "thinks" the new key is one of the originals already stored in its memory.

Pro Tip: The scan results will show you exactly which path to take - whether to use HW03-C adapter method, OBD duplication, or if you need to swap the RFA module.
Get detailed instructions on how to perform the PEPS Utils OBD scan and interpret the results. This comprehensive guide is part of the main How It Works section.

Use PEPS Utils to scan the vehicle
Look for RFA Lock & UWB status
Select the right duplication approach
When you run OBD scan in PEPS Utils, you will see this information to determine the correct key copy method
Remotes Frequency................... 434 MHz
UWB PEPS........................ UWB PEPS Enable
Central Lock type............... Double Locking
Unlock setting.................. Two step opening
Telematics Protection............. Telematics Protection Plus
RFA Software Number............. K8D2-XXXXXXX-AF
Country code.................... Europe
Alarm Mode Status............... Disarmed
RFA Lock Status................. Locked
UWB Function Status............. Enabled
UWB Pairing Status.............. Complete
Programmed Keys................. 2
Passive key #1 Id............... 5FFFFFFF
Passive key #2 Id............... 6GGGGGGG
Passive Keys.................... 2
Passive key #1 Id............... 5FFFFFFF
Passive key #2 Id............... 6GGGGGGG
The highlighted values RFA Lock Status: Locked and UWB Function Status: Enabled are the key indicators for determining your key copy method.
Best Case Scenario
When RFA is Locked and UWB is Enable, you can:
Copy the Key from the Locked RFA Module with the HW03-C adapter connected with the HW04-C Tools
Alternative Method Available
If UWB shows as Disable:
You can copy OBD 2017 to 2020 the Key onto HW13/HW14 Keys
For any models where UWB is not Enabled and OBD Duplicator does not allow copy:
It is only possible to Swap to a New RFA to be able to Program Keys on those Vehicles. This is the last resort option when the advanced duplication methods cannot be used.

Different Lock50 packages offer different methods to erase old keys and repopulate the system
While SW30 is excellent for adding new keys in locked RFA & BCM vehicles, it cannot delete old keys. For key deletion and repopulation, you need to use the methods below based on your Lock50 package.
Premium Solution: Unlock RFA & Erase Keys
Exclusive C+ Feature
With C+ package, you can unlock the RFA and then erase keys, even when BCM is locked.
Full Control
Complete control over key management - unlock, erase, and repopulate as needed.
Ideal For: Situations where you need complete key management control, especially with locked RFA modules. This is the most advanced key deletion method available.
Adapt New RFA Even When BCM is Locked
Adapt New RFA Module
With C or B packages, you can adapt a new RFA even when BCM is locked.
Erase & Repopulate
After adapting new RFA, you can erase and repopulate old keys from both RFA and BCM.
Works Up to 2025+
This method works on vehicles from 2017 to 2025+ models.
Ideal For: Situations where you need to completely refresh the key system. This method gives you a clean slate by replacing the RFA module and erasing all old key data from both RFA and BCM, then programming fresh keys.
